A Vegas themed party works best when you pick one version of Vegas — neon and playful, or Rat Pack classic — and build the night around croupier-run casino tables. The tables are the whole point of the theme, so hiring professionals to run them is the single upgrade that makes everything else feel real. And because the tables come to you, you don't need a venue.
A Vegas night is the most requested casino theme we set up, and the most flexible. It doesn't need a season, an occasion or a dress code to work — a birthday, a housewarming, a work party or a Saturday night with no excuse at all will do.
The one decision that shapes everything else comes first: which Vegas are you throwing?
Pick your Vegas: neon or classic
Vegas has two distinct looks, and mixing them is where most themed parties go muddy. Choose one and commit:
- Neon Vegas — bright, loud and playful. Pink and electric blue lighting, marquee-bulb signs, oversized dice and playing cards, flamingo and cactus kitsch. Suits birthdays, bucks and hens nights, and any crowd that wants the party turned up
- Classic Vegas — the Rat Pack era. Black, red and gold, warm lamplight, crooner records, sharp suits and cocktail dresses. Suits corporate events, milestone birthdays and anyone who wants the glamour without the kitsch
Everything downstream — lighting, music, dress code, even the drinks list — falls out of this one choice.
Setting the scene
Entrance
A "Welcome to Fabulous" style sign or marquee letters at the door, and a red carpet if you have the room. Vegas announces itself — the entrance should too.
Lighting
For neon Vegas: coloured LED strips, a couple of neon signs, and dimmed everything else so the colour pops. For classic Vegas: warm and low, gold uplighting, table lamps. Either way, the overhead lights go off.
Tables and detail
Red, black and gold cloths, oversized playing cards on the walls, dice and chip-stack centrepieces. Keep the area around the gaming tables clear — croupiers need working room, and the crowd around a table in play is its own decoration.
Music
Classic Vegas runs on Sinatra, Dean Martin and Elvis. Neon Vegas can start there and shift to party sets as the night builds. Keep it at a level people can talk over while the tables are open.
The centrepiece: real tables, real croupiers
Here's the honest difference between a Vegas themed party and every other theme: with Bond or Gatsby, the tables elevate the theme. With Vegas, the tables are the theme. Balloons and a cardboard sign without a table in play is a decorations party. One professional table with a croupier calling the game is Vegas — and everything else in the room gets to be a supporting act.
What a Full House Hire booking includes
- Poker and Texas Hold'em tables, plus roulette, set up and run by trained croupiers
- Play chips only — the chips are for keeping score and nothing else. Our croupiers never handle real money, and no money changes hands on the result of any game
- A short walkthrough from your croupier so guests who've never played can join in within a couple of minutes
- Delivery, setup and pack-down — the tables arrive, get built, and disappear again without you lifting anything
Because the tables travel, a Vegas night works almost anywhere:
- At home — a living room, garage or covered patio fits a table comfortably. No venue hire, no pack-up curfew
- Birthdays, bucks and hens nights — the table is the activity, so the night plans itself
- Work parties — a table is a natural icebreaker between people who don't normally mix, and it gives everyone something to do besides stand near the bar
A sample run of show
| Time | What's happening |
|---|---|
| 6:30 PM | Guests arrive, welcome drinks, entrance photos |
| 7:00 PM | Tables open — croupiers run intros for first-timers |
| 8:30 PM | Food service — grazing table or sliders round one |
| 9:00 PM | Tables reopen, second wave of players rotates through |
| 10:15 PM | Best-dressed or best table-talk award announced |
| 10:30 PM | Tables close, music up, party continues |
Dress code ideas (optional, but worth it)
Vegas is the one casino theme that works with no dress code at all — but a loose one lifts the room:
- Rat Pack — sharp suit, skinny tie, drink in hand, unbothered
- Showtime sparkle — sequins, feathers, rhinestones, more is more
- Elvis — someone always comes as Elvis. Encourage them
- Vegas casual — loud shirt, sunglasses at night, holiday energy
Food and drink
- Grazing over plating — Vegas eats standing up. A big grazing table or rolling trays of sliders and tacos beat a sit-down dinner
- Cocktails — an espresso martini or margarita station for neon Vegas; old fashioneds and whisky sours for classic
- Late-night round — mini burgers or loaded fries at 10pm keeps the party going
- Non-alcoholic — a zero-proof cocktail with the same glassware and garnish, so no one's holding a sad glass of water
Budgeting
Croupier hire is priced per dealer per hour and scales with guest numbers. One table per 8 to 10 active players is the working guide — and for a home party of 20 to 30 guests, a single table with one croupier is usually plenty, because people rotate through.
Hosting at home is where a Vegas night quietly saves you money: no venue hire, no minimum spend at a bar, and the tables, setup and pack-down are handled for you. Put the savings into the lighting and the food — they're what guests notice after the tables.
Weekends book first, all year round. If your date matters more than your flexibility, lock it in early.
